Glandyfi Castle offers an unforgettable private hire castle stay in Wales, sleeping up to 22 guests across 11 individually designed bedrooms. Blending historic character with modern comfort and elegance throughout, the castle’s generous living spaces provide the perfect setting for a luxury getaway with friends and family, allowing you to stay in a castle and enjoy the experience entirely at your own pace.
Named after the river Dyfi it overlooks, this Master Suite is home to a Superking bed, Smart TV and a spacious private bathroom with a walk-in shower and bathtub with a view. For Weddings, Dyfi is available to couples as the Honeymoon Suite. Look out the windows to see the Dyfi estuary and even Aberdyfi beach on a clear day.
Y Tyred (The Turret) is exactly where you will be if you stay in this bedroom. Home to a Superking bed, Smart TV and window seats to take in the view of the Dyfi estuary. Y Tyred has an ensuite bathroom with shower.
Heulwen is the Welsh word for Sunshine, which is what you get from this room, with widespread windows and a bright colour scheme. Heulwen is home to a Superking bed and the positioning of this room allows both a castle garden view and views of the River Dyfi. Heulwen has an ensuite bathroom with shower.
Blodau is the Welsh word for flowers. Blodau is home to a Superking bed, Smart TV and a window seat to take in the view; which includes many flowers in the landscaped Castle gardens. Blodau has a private bathroom with shower.
The word for Love in Welsh, Cariad is home to a Kingsize bed, Smart TV and window seat to enjoy the Castle garden view. Cariad has a private bathroom with shower.
Named after the well-known Welsh hymn, Calon Lân is home to a Kingsize bed, smart TV and window seat to take in the Castle garden view. Calon Lân has an en-suite bathroom with shower.
Cwrt is Welsh for Courtyard, which is where you will find this bedroom. Cwrt is our only bedroom located on the ground-floor and it’s accessed from outdoors, just outside The Atrium. Cwrt is home to a double bed, smart TV and ensuite bathroom with shower.
Welsh for Snowdon, Yr Wyddfa is home to a Superking bed, Smart TV and Castle garden view. This bedroom shares a Jack and Jill bathroom (shower and bath) with Cadair Idris, making it a perfect family suite.
Cadair Idris is home to twin zip link beds and a Smart TV, with a Castle Garden View. This bedroom shares a Jack and Jill bathroom (shower and bath) with Yr Wyddfa, making it a perfect family suite.
A fond Welsh term meaning to cuddle or embrace, Cwtch is a cosy bedroom home to twin beds, a Smart TV and a Castle garden view. Cwtch has an ensuite bathroom with shower and is just over the corridor from Y Tyred.
Named after a small Welsh town, Portmeirion is a quirky twin room with a smart TV and an interior view looking into the Atrium. Portmeirion can be made up as a twin or double room (zip link beds) and has an en-suite with shower.

The Drawing Room features a cosy seating area and bar. It’s the ideal spot to rest and relax after wandering the castle grounds.
The Atrium is home to a grand, solid oak dining table seating 22 guests. A glass ceiling and bespoke gold leaf chandelier.
The Library is an octagonal space offering panoramic views of the Dyfi estuary. The perfect space to immerse yourself in a book, or watch the world go by.
The Media Room features a 75” Smart TV and a sofa you can melt into. It’s made for a movie night in.
The Billiards Room is home to a bespoke billiards table and made for just that. Have a game and admire the breath-taking view.
The Games Room includes a dartboard, shuffleboard table, classic board games and Smart TV. If you’re planning a games night, this is the space for you!

Do you allow Hen Dos?
Yes! We welcome hen parties, but before confirming your booking we’ll ask for some brief information, including the age range of guests and a general outline of your plans to ensure it’s a booking we are happy to accept.
What is your maximum capacity?
22 people is the maximum occupancy for private hire stays. For weddings, capacity varies depending on your chosen Wedding Ceremony Area.
Does every bedroom have to be occupied if we book?
No, as a private hire venue, Glandyfi Castle is entirely yours no matter how many bedrooms are occupied. It’s not possible to book individual rooms.
What is included in the bedrooms?
Nine of our bedrooms have a private bathroom and two bedrooms share a Jack and Jill bathroom, making them an ideal family suite. Every bedroom includes a Smart TV, wardrobe, hairdryer, towels and toiletries (no hair products). Click here to explore all of our bedrooms.
How many people can stay overnight?
The castle sleeps 22 people across 11 bedrooms. 22 guests can only be exceeded where there are infants sleeping in travel cots. If additional accommodation is required, the nearby towns of Machynlleth and Aberystwyth are home to various B&Bs and hotels.
